Abstract
The present Ordinance implements the Council Directive 96/29/Euratom of 13 May 1996 laying down basic safety standards for the protection of the health of workers and the general public against the dangers arising from ionizing radiation. The text consists of 48 articles divided into 8 Parts as follows: General provisions (I); Principles of radiation protection (1a); Surveillance provisions (2); Provisions concerning operators (3); Precautionary measures (4); Extraordinary provisions (6); Penalties (7); Final Provisions (8). Four Annexes are enclosed.
