Abstract
The Act aims to establish a framework for the protection of surface water and groundwater, as well as its planning within the environment internationally protected areas. For each water district, there must be a water plan that must cover a period of 6 years. Assessment, analysis and monitoring is required for the purpose of its planning goals, which aim to preserving all surface water bodies. The quality of waters shall be obtained after treatment systems comply with the quality of drinking water standards in adherence to the Water Act. The Minister of Environment shall ensure compliance with the Act's regulations following guidance set out by the Natura 2000 planning, and enforces the payment of fees to cover analysis of areas where water assessment is required. Furthermore, the Minister of Environment shall revise the Natura 2000 planning every 7 years.
The Act contains IV Sections: Introductory provisions (I); (Repealed) (II); International nature conservation areas (III); Final provisions (IV).
