Abstract
This Act establishes rules to ensure that nuclear material from Greenland is only used for peaceful purposes and that Denmark fulfills its international safeguards obligations. It defines nuclear materials and facilities covered, sets notification and reporting duties for mining, possession, transfer, and use of such materials, and gives the Emergency Management Agency authority to oversee compliance through inspections, reporting systems, and control measures. The law also requires intergovernmental agreements for international transfers of Greenlandic nuclear material, allows the participation of IAEA inspectors, and provides for sanctions in case of violations.
