Abstract
The present Act establishes a pilot scheme for medicinal cannabis for the treatment of humans, from 1 January 2018 to 31 December 2021. The Act does not apply to cannabis-containing medicinal products that are regulated under the provisions of the Medicines Act. Cannabis raw materials, cannabis intermediate products, and cannabis end products, as defined by this Act, are exempt from the Medicines Act and the Pharmacy Act, unless otherwise is specified.
The Act contains 68 articles organized in the following chapters: 1. Scope of application and definitions; 2. Requirements for cannabis raw materials and cannabis intermediate products; 3. Import, manufacturing, and distribution of cannabis products; 4. Manufacture of final cannabis product at a pharmacy or hospital pharmacy; 5. Tasks of a pharmacies and hospital pharmacies; 6. Item numbers and pricing; 7. Naming, labelling, and packaging; 8. Adverse drug reaction monitoring; 9. Advertising; 10. Regulatory control, etc.; 11. Pharmacists' and physicians' collaboration with companies; 12. Appeals; 13. Penalties; 14. Entry into force, etc.
