Abstract
Following the provisions of this Act the government provides subsidies for electricity production by biogas and natural gas based decentralized heat and power production, natural gas-based industrial heat and power (CHP) production and/or waste based on heat and power production. A subsidy of DKK 0.7 shall be granted for each kWh of electricity. Grants for industrial heat and power production shall be limited to installments commissioned before 1 January 2004 and DKK 0.2 to installments commissioned after that date. Natural gas-based decentralized CHP plants with a total capacity for electricity generation of 25 MW or less shall be granted a subsidy of DKK 0.8 for each kWh of electricity. For electricity produced by industrial combined heat and power production, the granting of subsidies is limited to a period of 6 years from the commissioning of the individual plants. The Minister for Transport shall provide control measures required for the implementation of the Act.
