Abstract
This Executive Order, of the Ministry of Food, Agriculture and Fisheries of Denmark, sets rules for the marketing and use of animal feed in Greenland’s domestic market. It does not apply to the import of feed. The Order defines key terms (such as feed, additives, mixtures, and labeling) and establishes safety requirements, including that feed must not pose risks to human or animal health, the environment, or animal welfare. It prohibits certain materials (e.g., feces, treated hides, sewage sludge, municipal waste) and sets maximum levels for unwanted substances like heavy metals, dioxins, and PCBs. The order also regulates labeling, requiring clear identification for feed intended for export, and assigns responsibility to the first operator marketing the feed. Violations may result in fines, including corporate liability.
