Abstract
This Executive Order, of the Ministry of Food, Agriculture and Fisheries of Denmark, sets the rules for trade and export of food and food-contact materials from Greenland. It defines key terms such as export, trade with the EU area, food, food-contact materials, and exporting businesses, and establishes that only authorized or registered companies may export. Exporters must comply with both Greenlandic and importing country requirements, including documentation, certification, and separation of products where necessary. Special provisions apply to exports of non-trade products to the EU and to “special third countries,” where prior approval and listing are required. Companies must carry out internal controls to ensure compliance, and violations may result in fines.
