Abstract
This Order applies to food supplements sold or delivered to consumers. Products to be marketed as food supplements should be reported to the Ministry of Environment and Food of Denmark. The notification is done by submitting a model of the label used for the product. For information on supplements with constituents other than vitamins and minerals must – in addition - be sent with product's purpose and composition, including the concentration ratio and manufacturing methods. For plant and animal sources, it should also be disclosed what part of the plant or animal is used, and extraction conditions. The Order does NOT apply to medicinal products referred to art. 2 in the Medicine Act.
