Abstract
The Order sets regulations regarding the mandatory health advisory agreement needed for persons responsible for health counseling in farms exceeding any of the threshold sizes set out in the document. The purpose of the Order is to ensure that mandatory health advisory agreements are being issued with regard to animal health and to the adherence to required specifications in their production and to the national limits for mortality in pigs. The diagnosis of a disease regularly occurring in farms, which is characterized by the specific symptoms described by the veterinarian, shall systematically be documented. There shall be an annual national limit antibiotic use for each of the three age groups of pigs. There shall be an annual national limit mortality for swines which is set to 20% in 2012 and 16% in 2013. Obligatory health assessment and counseling shall occur in specific dates listed under article 43.
The Order consists of 5 Chapters and 5 Appendices: Scope and definitions (1); Conclusion and termination of agreement (2); Basic agreement (3); Elective module (4); Penalties and entry into force (5).
