Abstract
This Order lays down rules regarding the voluntary labelling and presentation of food products with the Keyhole symbol. The Keyhole symbol relates to the food content of fat, sugars, dietary fiber and salt in food groups listed in Annex 2. It may be used for the labelling and presentation of foodstuffs if the foodstuffs, after being placed in the correct foodstuff group, meet all the criteria laid down for that foodstuff in Annex 2. Foods containing sweeteners (food additives) and approved new foods or novel food ingredients (novel foods) shall not use the Keyhole symbol. The same applies to foods covered by Commission Directive Commission Directive 2006/125/EC on processed cereal-based foods and baby foods for infants and young children.
