Abstract
This Order applies and sets regulations on activities related to commercial fishing and Danish registered fishing vessels for fishery in all waters. It includes landing, revenue, foreign-registered vessels and fishing provisions and is regulated by the Danish AgriFish Agency which may, in accordance to Appendix 6, establish fishery regulations, including setting and changing conditions for specific fisheries. Upon application, grant exemption from and decisions taken on fishing opportunities for groups of vessels apply. A vessel may dispose of vessel quota and kW-quota, as well as related annual catch amounts in accordance with regulations applicable to FKA, IOK and kW-shares. All vessels, irrespective of their size, must keep a logbook and report arrival to ports when carrying more than 300 kg of species subject to a multiannual plan. Salmon requirement is applicable when the vessel carries a minimum of 10 pieces. The same applies to vessels carrying industrial fish, herring, mackerel and horse mackerel. For eels the report shall be specified when transferring on land a minimum of 100 kg/calendar year. All species listed in Appendix 7 must be transferred on land and may therefore not be released in water.
It is illegal to operate a vessel for commercial fishing in ICES sub-area 22 in the Baltic Sea and the Belts, and which engine power exceeds 221 kW/300 hp. It is also prohibited for vessels measuring 17 mt. or more and with a width of more than 100 mt.
