Abstract
The subsidy grant scheme for applying authorization of alternative plant protection methods and products, is designed to encourage the implementation of the Green Growth initiative (16 June 2009) which goal is to produce less harmful products that may impact the environment. Subsidy may be granted for a maximum of 60% and may be increased to another 20% for small- and medium-size enterprises, in adherence to Commission Recommendation 2003/361/EC of 6 May 2003 concerning the definition of micro, small and medium-sized enterprises. Subsidy to these type of enterprise shall be granted for projects following de minimis aid under Commission Regulation (EC) No 1998/2006 of 15 December 2006 on the application of Articles 87 and 88 to de minimis aid. Support may be given up to EUR 200 000 in a period of three years. The Ministry of Environmental Protection shall approve the use of funds invested under the Green Growth Agreement initiative for the alternative plant protection initiative in the period of 2010-2015.
