Abstract
The purpose of this Order is to identify and map areas where preparation of noise action plans are needed for certain infrastructures. This to prevent adverse pollution effects due to exposure to environmental noise and to maintain acceptable environmental noise quality. It applies to external noise, such as roads, airports, train rails, city areas, etc.
The Order consists of 6 Chapters and 5 Annexes: Purpose and scope (1); Definitions (2); Noise Map (3); Noise Action Plans (4); Involvement, public information and international cooperation (5); Entry into force (6).
Annex 1 - Major roads to be mapped.
Annex 2 - Major railway lines to be mapped.
Annex 3 - Major airports to be mapped.
Annex 4 - Larger urban areas to be mapped.
Annex 5 - Technical requirements for noise mapping.
