Order No. 564 on approval of projects for industrial and cooling systems.

This Orders sets regulations and guidelines on the approval for projects related to industrial energy systems (cooling systems). The regulations herewith apply to systems for energy production (electricity, heating) ensuring the assessment for cost-effective is considered under the management of the Danish Energy Agency. Such activities shall require application for authorization in order to comply with regulations in adherence with EU provisions. Criteria for approval shall be based on: 1) System's capacity, location and production. 2) Supply area for the cooling supply originating from plants/systems to buildings. 3) Timeframes on the establishment of plants/systems or their renovation. Municipalities may approve a project if the total energy promotes energy-efficient cooling and exploits synergies with district heating.
