Abstract
The purpose of this Order is to set regulations on granting financial aid to increase spring crops with a view to increasing crop variation that may help reducing the use of pesticides, to enhance biodiversity and improve water environment. Subsidy may be granted for areas that are eligible for the Single Payment Scheme and grown with one or more of the listed spring crops in Annex 1. Funding is only available if the eligible area, which must be granted direct payments in accordance to Council Regulation (EC) No. 73/2009, is of at least 2 hectares, unless the total amount of financial aid to farmers in the form of special support for male animals and support on the basis of special payment shall be an amount equal to at least 300 Euros.
