Abstract
The purpose of the Order is to promote organic agricultural production, which may help increase biodiversity and reduce loss of nutrients and pesticides from agriculture to water. The provisions in this Order apply to the specific financial support granted to farmers for extensive farming in eligible areas where single payment scheme for the limited use of nitrogen and no use of plant protection procedures apply. Areas eligible for financial aid include for grassland (temporary grassland and permanent pasture), areas committed to subsidy for environmentally-friendly management of wetlands pursuant to Order No. 893 of 22 September 2005, areas Acommitted to environment-related grants for buffer zones intended for the conservation of pasture and wetlands, areas covered by a subsidy scheme for forestry, areas including ponds, lakes, streams, ditches, stone walls and similar areas that cannot be used for agricultural development. These areas shall constitute a coherent area of at least 0.30 ha, except in the case of land in closed greenhouses and funding shall only be available to eligible areas with the direct granting of funding in accordance to Council Regulation (EC) No. 73/2009 for at least 2.00 hectares, unless the total aid is for male animals and on the basis of the amount equal to at least 300 Euros.
