Abstract
This Order sets rules on the appropriate use and exploitation of the Danish subsoil and its natural resources, in special regards to the characterization and evaluation of exploration and storage permits of CO2. Supervising criteria adhere to EU standards.
It consists of 12 Chapters and 2 Annex: Definitions (1); Selection of CO (2); Application for exploration and storage permits (3); Operating CO (4); Supervision (5); Closing of CO (6); Review, update and revocation of permits for storage (7); Financial security and financial contribution (8); Assignment of responsibility for inventory (9); Access to CO (10); Register of issued permits and closed storage of CO (11); Consultation and notification by the European Commission (12).
Annex 1 - Criteria for characterisation and assessment of potential storage complex and the surrounding area as provided in article 2.
Annex 2 - Criteria for establishing and updating the monitoring plan referred to in article 9 and for monitoring after shutdown.
