Abstract
This Order sets regulations with what concerns the monitoring of Salmonella affected cattle. The provisions of the document include slaughtering, sample testing, and study provisions applicable to meat destined to human consumption. Research and inspection shall be performed in DANAK- and EA- accredited testing laboratories.
The Order consists of 9 Chapters and 8 Appendices: Scope and definitions (1); Salmonellosis in cattle (2); Monitoring - Salmonella Dublin (3); Study of critical-resistant Salmonella (4); Breakdown of Salmonella Dublin in high and low prevalence areas (5); Anti-Salmonella Dublin (6); Public inspection (7); Management and submission of samples, and organization of inspection costs (8); Penalties and entry into force provisions (9).

Entry into force notes
15 July 2013. For veal calves, provisions of article 18, sections 2-5 on fight against Salmonella Dublin enters into force 24 months after the Order enters into force. For other herds required to take blood sampling (art. 18, sect. 2) the first implementation shall be 12 months after the Order s entry into force.
