Abstract
The Order specifically aims to preventing and controlling pollution of air, water, soil and subsoil, and noise; it provides hygienic rules concerning environment and people; limits the use and waste of raw materials and other resources; promotes the use of cleaner technology and promotes recycling procedures reducing issues related with waste management. In order to fulfill these goals, organizations may voluntarily register with the Eco-management and Audit Scheme (EMAS) through the national Environmental Protection Agency.
The Order consists of 7 Chapters and 3 Annexes: Scope and purpose (1); Registration Body (2); Application for EMAS registration (3); Fees (4); Supervision under the Environment Act (5); Compliance with statutory environmental requirements (6); Entry into force (7).
Annex 1 - Organization certificate of compliance with environmental legislation for applying to EMAS registration (the form can be downloaded on the EPA website and virk.dk).
Annex 2 - Rate sheet for registration and participation in the voluntary eco-management and audit scheme Community (EMAS).
Annex 3 - Table on Authority's submission to the Environmental Protection Agency on EMAS registered enterprises' environmental cases.
