Order No. 974 on milk quotas.

The Order sets regulations on milk quotas and taxation of milk and milk products. Calculation of yearly quota is between 1 April and 31 March. With effect from 1 April 2012, total milk quota shall be extended to 47 523 865 kg, to be distributed as a proportionate percentage increase to all producers entitled to milk quotas. With effect from 1 April 2013 the total milk quota shall be extended to 47 999 104 kg, to be distributed as a proportionate percentage increase to all entitled producers. Manufacturers may submit tenders for the purchase and sale of milk to the Milk Board on pre-established dates (1 May, 15 August, 1 November and 1 February). Reporting on purchased milk quantities shall be submitted by the collectors to the Milk Board, Agro Foods Park 15, Skejby, 8200 Aarhus N. Approved collectors shall keep and maintain the documentation (in electronic form) in adherence to the Commission Regulation (EC) 595/2004 (articles 23-24) for the current quota and the three previous quota years. The Danish Nature Agency and the Food Administration shall monitor compliance with these provisions.
