Abstract
The text consists of 30 regulations and a Schedule. The regulations are divided into 8 Parts. Part I makes provision in general for the importation of plants and harmful organisms. The other Parts provide for the restriction or prohibition of the importation of planting material (II) or specific plants and other material; fruits and vegetables (III), cotton, cotton products and certain other articles (IV), soil and dung (V), Allspice, bay and related plants from certain countries (VI), parts of the coconut palm (VII), banana, cacao, coffee, sugar-cane, other graminaceous plants and sweet potato except when imported as planting material. Part I consists of 11 regulations: Short title (1); Interpretation (2); Prohibition of importation of plants (3); Entry of plants into the State (4); Examination of plants (5); Fumigation of plants (6); Treatment of plants (7); Exempted articles (8); Charges for the storage of plants (9); Importation of plants for use in the State (10); Forfeiture of imported articles (11). The Schedule contains 7 forms.
