Abstract
The Act regulates the obligations of port authorities in the fulfilment of safety requirements and procedures relating to state supervision in ports. The document consists of 7 Chapters that contain 20 Paragraphs. Chapter 1 lays down general provisions and definitions. Chapter 2 regards opening ports for shipping traffic and issuing of port certificate. Chapter 3 determines obligations of port authorities in ports. Chapter 4 determines state supervision in ports. Chapter 5 regards port register. Chapter 6 deals with public customs warehouses, public customs terminals, free zones and free warehouses. Chapter 61 establishes liability. Chapter 7 lays down implementing provisions.
