Abstract
This Regulation, based on provisions of section 32, 3 (13) of the Energy Management Act, establishes specific requirements: on the principles for calculating the share of energy produced from biomass fuel and on the verification of compliance with the requirements and criteria for the sustainability of biomass; on the geographical origin and feedstock of biomass fuel. The Regulation applies to installations producing electricity, heat and cooling energy or fuel. Matters covered by the Regulation include: criteria for verification of compliance with the principles for calculating the share of renewable energy produced from biomass; categories of biomass, including: wood biomass from forest land, wood biomass from non-forest land, agricultural biomass, other wood waste, biomass produced during deforestation; auditing requirements; publication of information on fuels used.
