Abstract
The requirements for keeping farm animals in outdoor conditions shall be complied with by all animal keepers who keep more than 5 livestock units in the area. For the purposes of this Regulation, based on the provisions of paragraph 171 (2) of the Water Act, keeping animals in outdoor conditions means grazing animals during the growing season and keeping animals in an open-air area. For the purposes of this Regulation, an outdoor animal holding area is an area where animals are outside the animal housing and the purpose of which is not to graze animals during the growing season. The Regulation consists of six sections: Scope of application (1); Requirements for grazing of animals during the growing season (2); Requirements for outdoor areas (3); Requirements for temporary feeding and watering places in outdoor areas (4); Requirements for permanent feeding and watering places in outdoor areas (5); and Entry into force of regulation (6).
