Abstract
This Regulation, based on the provisions of paragraph 90 (6) of the Water Act, establishes requirements for natural mineral water, its recognition and handling. The quality requirements for drinking water established on the basis of the Water Act and the special requirements established for the treatment of spring water, water abstraction equipment, labeling and microbiological requirements apply to spring water used for drinking. The Regulation consists eleven sections: Scope of application (1); Assessment and recognition of natural mineral water (2); Composition and properties of natural mineral water (3); Requirements for identification of natural mineral water (4); Requirements for water abstraction sites, intake equipment and their use (5); Requirements for separation of undesirable components from natural mineral water, treatment with ozone-enriched air and enrichment with carbon dioxide (6); Microbiological requirements (7); Requirements for bottling, packaging and transport (8); Requirements for labeling (9); Misleading information and prohibited claims (10); and Spring water (11).
