Commission Decision 2000/730/EC establishing the European Union Eco-labelling Board and its rules of procedure

Pursuant to article 13 of Regulation (EC) No. 1980/2000, the present Decision provides for the establishment of the European Union Eco-labelling Board (EUEB), whose rules of procedure shall be those laid down in the Annex hereto. The EUEB shall, in particular: (1) request the Commission to initiate the procedure for setting the ecological criteria as well as the related assessment and compliance verification requirements for product groups; (2) contribute to the setting and review of eco-label criteria as well as the related assessment and compliance verification requirements for product groups; (3) be consulted by the Commission on the Community Eco-label working plan.
