Commission Decision 2003/302/EC laying down specific conditions for imports of fishery products from Sri Lanka.

The present Decision establishes conditions applicable to the importation into the Community of fishery products originating in Sri Lanka, excluding bivalve molluscs, echinoderms, tunicates and marine gastropods. As laid down in article 1, the Department of Fisheries and Aquatic Resources of the Ministry of Fisheries and Ocean Resources (DFAR) shall be the competent authority in Sri Lanka for the purposes of verifying and certifying compliance of fishery products with the requirements provided for in Directive 91/493/EEC. Each consignment shall be accompanied by an original health certificate in accordance with the specimen contained in Annex I. The products must come from approved establishments, factory vessels or cold stores, or from registered freezer vessels listed in Annex II. Article 5 specifies the information that packages shall bear.
