Commission Decision 2004/279/EC concerning guidance for implementation of Directive 2002/3/EC of the European Parliament and of the Council relating to ozone in ambient air.

The Commission has hereby developed guidance for the implementation of Directive 2002/3/EC, which concerns ozone in ambient air. In particular, Annex I to this Decision lays down the guidance relative to the short-term action plans which Member States are required to adopt as per article 7 of the said Directive. Annex II sets out relevant measures to be taken into account by Member States at the time of developing and implementing the short-term action plans. Lastly, Annex III lays down the guidelines for an appropriate strategy for measuring ozone precursor substances pursuant to article 9(3) of Directive 2002/3/EC.
