Abstract
This Decision lays down some amendments to Decision 2013/287/EU. It is hereby established that Member States may carry out random physical checks on food and feed originating in or consigned from China other than those mentioned in paragraph 1 of article 1, but which may consist, contain or be produced from rice. These checks are authorized with a view to ensuring compliance with Regulation (EC) No. 1829/2003 on genetically modified food and feed. Further amendments concern the list of rice products (Annex I), prior notifications and official controls.
