Commission Implementing Decision 2013/426/EU on measures to prevent the introduction into the Union of the African swine fever virus from certain third countries or parts of the territory of third countries in which the presence of that disease is confirmed and repealing Decision 2011/78/EU.

Following the confirmation of presence of African swine fever in Georgia in 2007 and the outbreak of the disease in certain regions of Russia, this Decision sets forth measures to prevent the introduction into the European Union of the virus. These measures include cleansing and disinfection of vehicles transporting swines and inspection at entry points, as well as certification requirements.
