Abstract
Article 4(1) of Regulation (EC) No. 1967/2006 prohibits fishing with trawl nets, dredges, purse seines, boat seines, shore seines or similar nets above seagrass beds of, in particular, Posidonia oceanica or other marine phanerogams. By virtue of the derogation established by this Regulation, that prohibition shall not apply in the territorial waters of Croatia to fishing for certain fish species by shore seines.
