Abstract
This Regulation lays down some amendments to Annexes VI, VII, VIII and IX to Regulation (EC) No. 543/2008. The amended annexes provide limit values for (i) the water content of frozen and quick frozen chicken carcasses, (ii) the water content of certain poultry cuts, and (iii) the water content of fresh poultrymeat in checks on the absorption of water in the production establishment. The amendments are adopted pursuant to new technologies that have developed new chilling methods. Furthermore, the Regulation supplements Annex XI (which lays down the list of national reference laboratories) by including the national reference laboratory for Malta.
