Abstract
Regulation 2158/92/EEC of 23 July 1992 set up at Community level a scheme for the protection of forests against fires. In accordance with article 4 of the said Regulation, Member States shall submit annually to the Commission their projects or programmes for improving protection of forests against fires. The present Regulation lays down implementing measures as regards the programmes aforementioned. In fact, they shall contain the information and supporting documents specified in Annex I (such as contact of the competent authority, fire-risk zones concerned, duration and total cost of the programme, etc.) and shall furthermore comprise the information indicated in article 2.
