Abstract
This Regulation lays down the detailed rules for the monitoring of air pollution effects; data collection by the European Forest Fire Information System; competent bodies to be designated by each Member State and their tasks; national programmes and adaptation; financial management and monitoring; and the establishment of the Scientific Advisory Group to advise the Standing Forestry Committee. Annex I to this Regulation sets out the manual on parameters, monitoring methods and data formats for harmonised monitoring of air pollution effects on forests, including common methods for soil solution monitoring, ground vegetation assessment, ambient air quality assessment, ozone injury assessment.
