Abstract
The marketing standards relating to peaches and nectarines shall be as indicated in the Annex hereto. These standards shall be implemented at all stages of marketing in compliance with the conditions established under Regulation (EC) No. 2200/96. The Annex consists of six Parts as follows: (I) Definition of produce; (II) Provisions concerning quality; (III) Provisions concerning sizing; (IV) Provisions concerning tolerances; (V) Provisions concerning presentation; (VI) Provisions concerning marking. In all classes, subject to the special provisions for each class and the tolerances allowed, peaches and nectarines must be: intact, sound (produce affected by rotting or deterioration such as to make it unfit for consumption is excluded), clean, practically free of any visible foreign matter, practically free from pests, practically free from damage caused by pests, free of abnormal external moisture, free of any foreign smell or taste. Peaches and nectarines must have been carefully picked.
