Abstract
Particular amendments are hereby laid down to Regulation (EC) No. 753/2002, which contains implementing provisions in respect of Regulation (EC) No. 1493/1999 relating to the description, designation, presentation and protection of certain wine sector products. In Title V, articles 37a and 37b shall be added. Article 37a gives the following definition of representative trade organization : any producer organization or association of producer organizations having adopted the same rules, operating in a given wine-growing area where it includes in its membership at least two thirds of the producers in the specified region in which it operates and accounts for at least two thirds of that region s production. Third countries are required to communicate a list of the representative trade organizations in accordance with Annex IX. Article 37b regards the labelling of liqueur wine, semi-sparkling wine, aerated semi-sparkling wine and sparkling wine.
