Council Decision (EU) 2015/1894 on the conclusion of the Protocol between the European Union and the Republic of Cape Verde setting out the fishing opportunities and the financial contribution provided for in the Fisheries Partnership Agreement between the European Community and the Republic of Cape Verde.

By virtue of this Decision the Protocol between the European Union and the Republic of Cape Verde setting out the fishing opportunities and the financial contribution provided for in the Fisheries Partnership Agreement between the European Community and the Republic of Cape Verde (which has been applied on a provisional basis) is approved on behalf of the European Union. In addition, the Commission is authorized to negotiate with the Republic of Madagascar and agree on modifications to the Protocol in respect of the issues specified in the Annex, which include: a) review of fishing opportunities; b) adapting the provisions governing the pursuit of fishing activities; c) adoption of measures to ensure sustainable fishing resources.
