This Regulation lays down some amendments to Regulation (EC) No. 73/2009, which sets out common rules for direct support schemes for farmers under the common agricultural policy and establishes certain support schemes for farmers. The amendments deal with the mechanism of financial discipline whereby the level of direct support is adjusted when the forecasts indicate that the subceiling for market related expenditure and direct payments is exceeded in a given financial year.
