Abstract
This Regulation establishes particular measures to be applied for the recovery of the cod stocks of the geographical areas specified under article 1. The aim of this recovery plan is to increase the quantities of mature fish to values greater or at least equal to the target levels indicated in the table of article 3. Chapter III deals with total allowable catches (TACs), which shall be established by following the procedure described under article 6. The TACs shall be complemented by a system of fishing effort limitation based on the geographical areas and groupings of fishing gear as per article 8. Chapter V concerns monitoring, inspection and surveillance.
