Abstract
This Protocol is adopted in the framework of the Fisheries Partnership Agreement between the European Union and the Kingdom of Morocco. It sets forth related fishing opportunities and financial contribution. It stipulates that vessels flying the flag of a Member State of the European Union may engage in fishing activities in the Moroccan fishing zone only if they are in possession of a fishing licence issued under this Protocol and in accordance with the provisions of the Annex hereto. Furthermore the Annex to the Protocol lays down provisions on fishing zones, exploratory fishing, satellite monitoring of European Union fishing vessels operating in the Moroccan fishing zones, catch declarations, monitoring and observation of fishing.
