Abstract
This Regulation lays down some addenda to Regulation (EU) No. 1343/2011 on certain provisions for fishing in the GFCM (General Fisheries Commission for the Mediterranean) Agreement area. Firstly, new article 15 prohibiting the use of trawl nets and gill-nets fisheries in the Black Sea is inserted. Further, three new chapters are added to Title II: a) Chapter IV on conservation and sustainable exploitation of red coral; b) Chapter V on reduction of the impact of fishing activities on certain marine species (incidental catches of seabirds, sea turtles, monk seals and cetaceans in fishing gears; protected sharks and rays; identification of sharks); c) Chapter VI on measures for fisheries for small pelagic stocks in the Adriatic Sea.
