Abstract
The aim of this Act is to secure high quality breeding of livestock for commercial purposes in Finland and at the same time to safeguard the health and well-being of animals. The Act consists of 20 sections divided into 7 Chapters.
The Act provides, among other things, for the keeping of a breeding register and regulates artificial insemination and trade in breeding animals.
