Decree of the Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry relative to suspension of fishing for sprat and herring in the northern Baltic Sea (No. 206 of 2012).

This Decision of the Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry provides for the suspension of fishing for sprat and herring pursuant to sections 2 and 10 of the Act the enforcement of European Community Common Fisheries Policy. The suspension shall be applicable to trawl fisheries for herring and sprat in ICES Sub-division 29 between latitudes 59° 30'N and 59° 50'N (northern Baltic) by fishing vessels registered in Finland. The suspension is applied because the maximum allowed catch for herring is reached in accordance with article 3 of the Decree on the trawl fishery for sprat and herring in the Baltic Sea's central basin, the northern Baltic Sea and the Gulf of Finland in 2012 (129/2012).
