Decree of the Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry on the structural and functional requirements for dairy cow stables that receive financial aid (No. 8 of 2012).

This Decree with respect to financial aid for the new construction or extensive renovation of housing for dairy cows granted pursuant to the Act on financing of reindeer husbandry and nature-related activities and the Act on structural aid to agriculture. When planning dairy cow stables Regulations and Guidelines in the National Building Code and the Animal Welfare Act and rules on animal welfare and environmental administration, environmental protection requirements shall be respected. The requirements for stables concern, among other things: space, lighting, room for quarantine and treatment of sick animals and places for milking.
