Act on the structural aid to agriculture (No. 1476 of 2007).

This Act aims at the promotion of agricultural production efficiency and quality in accordance with the principles of sustainable development. This Act shall apply to aid granted for the improvement of agricultural structures and funded by the European Community and the corresponding national funds or entirely from national funds. This Act does not apply to assistance or compensation to farmers for the cessation of production activities, to assistance funded by the European Community Structural Funds or the European Fisheries Fund and financial assistance granted pursuant to other specified legislation. Aid can be in the form of loans. The Act, among other things, sets out the conditions for and of financial assistance. Materials and practices used must meet requirements of environment protection and of the National Land Use and Building Act.
