Decree of the Ministry of Social Affairs and Health on quality requirements for and monitoring of household water in small units (No. 401 of 2001).

The present Decree prescribes the quality requirements for and control inspections of household water, as defined according to Section 16 of the Public Health Act, as: 1) provided by a facility delivering household water in a volume of less than 10 m³ per day or for the needs of fewer than 50 people; 2) used by a food business enterprise to which the requirements of the Ministry of Social Affairs and Health's Decree on quality requirements for and control inspection of household water (461/2000) do not apply in the quality control and control inspections of household water, based on the decision of the municipal health protection authority; or 3) utilized by individual households for their own water supply (household water well). Household water shall not contain microorganisms, parasites, or substances in such quantities that they can adversely affect human health. The quality requirements for household water are specified in Tables 1 and 2 in Annex I to this Decree.
