Abstract
This Order, made pursuant to section 87 of the Fisheries Act 1982, divides the territory into fishery districts and defines powers and duties of District Fisheries Offices and Fisheries District Committees. For each of the districts the place of the District Offices is indicated. The District Offices are the main organ for the administration of fisheries and shall carry out its tasks as described in the Fisheries Act, 1982 and in section 2 of this Order. Each Office may have a Committee of which the members are appointed for three years by the Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry. The Committee shall be made up of representatives of owners of fisheries waters, and of commercial and the sport fishing sector and representatives of advisory councils. A fisheries biologist shall be the chief of the District Office. Sections 16 to 20 provide for powers and duties of officials of the District Offices.
