Abstract
A Law on the Continental Shelf of Finland. The "Continental Shelf" means the area outside of the territorial sea of Finland with the seabed and subsoil adjacent to the boundary line which is determined in accordance with articles 1 and 6 of the Geneva Convention of 1958. Article 2 provides for the granting of rights of exploitation by Finnish citizens or foreigners. Natural resources for the purposes of this law are defined as minerals and other non-living resources of the seabed and subsoil together with sedentary living organisms which are immobile on or under the seabed or are unable to move except in constant physical contact with the seabed or the subsoil thereof. The remaining provisions deal with exploitation and breach of the Law. (8 articles)
