Abstract
The scope of this Act is to formulate measures for the fighting and the prevention of spreading of harmful organisms for plants and seeds. The Ministry of Agriculture may decide on which actions to undertake for the prevention of spreading and combatting of harmful organisms and to which organisms these actions apply (sect. 3). Sections 4 formulates a general duty to notify diseases and pests to plant protection authorities. Section 6 outlines powers of plant protection authorities to place restrictions on plant production. Section 7 formulates a general duty of owner of land premises to take all reasonable measures to contact pests and diseases. Section 9 provides for compensation to owners. A Plant Protection Register is created under section 5. General duties of control of plant protection authorities are outlined in section 13. (25 sections)
