Environment Management (Exempt Plastic Bags) Regulations 2021 (L.N. No. 31 of 2021).

Pursuant to section 45A(1)(a)(v) of the Environment Management Act 2005, these Regulations exempt (i) plastic bags used for medical purposes, including for the packaging or preserving of medicine and pharmaceutical products;(ii) plastic bags used by the Fiji Police Force for the storage of evidence or human remains; (iii) plastic bags used in agriculture, which includes planter bags and fertiliser or compost sacks and bags, from the definition of plastic bags.
